Location

Fly into San Juan Airport (SJU), approximately 21 miles from the Bahia Beach Resort and Golf Club. Most major airlines offer service to SJU.

Exceeded Expectations

The Four Seasons Resort (understand it used to be a St. Regis) was spectacular. We usually do lots of activities but decided to spend most of our time at the resort once everyone realized how nice it was. Our three kids loved the "secret" beach away from the main pool for swimming and waves, walking the beach and free cabanas with electricity, nice bathroom and bar and grill on the weekend. The main pool was also wonderful, just much more crowded. We did lots of walking trails, riding bikes around the property, driving the golf cart, playing on the water infltatables, etc. The gym is very nice and big. Paros as the Four Seasons was a 5 star meal. We also went off property and rented a private boat with East Island Excursions which we couldn't recommend more (snorkling at a private island, grilled lunch on the boat, drinks, wonderful service, etc.). Don Pepe was a restaurant highlight. Our only fail was jet skiing - gringosjetskis refused to let us alternate our kids (which we've done at every other place we've rented) and when we cancelled, promised us a refund which despite several follow-up hasn't shown up. They were also quite rude - notably, we offered to tip them and pay more to jet ski and they were not accomodating. Regardless the trip was a huge hit and Eli on site was great. We'd return for sure.

Excellent property, wonderful butler

The property and location were exceptional. We enjoyed free golf driving range and putting green. The pools, on the beach, were lovely and the service was exceptional. The food at the main resort was delicious. Our Butler was accommodating and very responsive.

one of our favorite places

This was our first time staying in Begonia. Previous trips we stayed in Aleli. Both accommodations are spacious and well equipped. Begonia on the golf course is quiet and a golf cart ride to the beach club. But the local Verandas pool only steps from Begonia was lovely & quiet. Our destination concierge Elicer was very helpful & attentive- respectful of the special medical needs of our daughter traveling with us. Jade Comstock our trip planner provided all the info we needed. Aleli is one of our favorite properties- close to the beach & beach club pool, restaurants & bar, but with the luxury of its own dunk pool and shaded patio. We will be back.

Bahia Beach

Nice beach resort. Unfortunately only one dining option unless you are staying at The St Regis Hotel. So for dinner you need to drive 25-45 minutes on dark roads to go to local restaurants.

Internet is spotty. Perhaps a function of the electric grid problems on the Island.

Begonia

We loved this house. The balcony (which is large) overlooks the 10 green of the Bahia Resort golf course and provides a great view. One of our best choices was to have in house messages after a couple days of golf. Highly recommend Elenid Lopez with ReVive message therapist. Our onsite concierge , Natalia, was awesome. Best! She was extremely attentive and responsive. We had a couple small mechanical issues but she had them addressed within an hour or two. Make sure you have concierge explain how the TV system works as its a little tricky w/ multiple remotes. Very large washer and dryer so dont need to over pack....like we did. :) Enjoy
