The Majestic Hotel, Barcelona

Loved it July 19, 2018

My wife, daughter and I just spent a few days in Barcelona at The Majestic Hotel before we embarked on our Mediterranean Cruise. The hotel and staff were all top notch. I would not hesitate in recommending this hotel. Thank you Inspirato for everything that you do.

Gaudi, Tapas, Futbol and Lot of Catalan Pride

Loved it January 4, 2018

Great trip to Barcelona over the holidays! One of our favorite cities to visit but Inspirato’s hotel partner, Hotel Majestic, took our past experiences up a notch. Located on Passieg de Gràcia, the premier shopping street in Barcelona (think Magnificent Mile in Chicago), you are only a block from two Gaudi masterpieces, La Pedrera (Casa Milo) and Casa Batllo and you can see Sagrada Familia from the rooftop. Great hotel with old world service and charm. We were upgraded to a penthouse suite with its own private deck and hot tub with a beautiful view of the city. Staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating with attentive but not intrusive service. The included full course buffet was a big plus to start the day. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel and would definitely stay there again.

Hotel Majestic is centrally located for easy walking distance to many attractions including Las Ramblas, La Boqueria, the Gothic Quarter and a short cab ride to most others like the Olympic Games Museum at the sight of the 1992 Barcelona Summer Games, Sagrada Familia, and the FC Barcelona futbol club museum which has some very touristy elements but otherwise tells the story of one of the most famous soccer clubs in the world now 118 years old. Definitely worth the visit if you are a soccer fan.

Don’t miss Sagrada Familia but order your tickets online to cut the lines especially if you want to climb one of the towers. Also, we discovered the Catalan version of Eataly about two blocks from the hotel. Four restaurants, three bars, and fun, vibrant atmosphere that was packed every night well past midnight.

One note for future travelers: watch out for pick pockets especially in the Gothic Quarter. I thwarted an attempt

Shout out to Inspirato’s Pacific Team for working with us through a challenging fall getting this trip scheduled. We are very appreciative of our Inspirato team.
