This home is exclusively staffed, managed, and maintained by Inspirato.
Cascade Ridge is a developing community, and there are currently two homes under construction within the cul-de-sac.
Access to Cascade Ridge Lodge during the summer season, and during the winter season at an additional cost per night. For access, guests are required to pay for the entire duration of stay. Adult:Child ratios are in effect. If you choose to forgo access, there is no charge. Fees are subject to change. Please contact your Destination team for additional information.
Bedrooms five and six encompass bunk beds and are best suited for young adults or children.
Please note this home does not have air conditioning, but cool temperatures in Big Sky will keep this home at a pleasant temperature.
The Big Sky community and surrounding area are best navigated by a personal vehicle. Public transportation including taxis or ride sharing services are not reliable at this time. Shuttle transportation can be arranged with advanced notice. During the winter months, we highly recommend a 4-WD/AWD rental vehicle while staying at this home.

Additional Information:

Cancellation policy: The Standard Inspirato Cancellation Policy applies for this property. Please note the Peak Reservation policy applies for Christmas and New Year’s weeks and certain other travel dates.
Maximum occupancy: Up to two additional guests are permitted over the stated occupancy at the rate of $50 per guest per night. Additional guests are accommodated on trundle beds located in bedrooms five and six.
Pet policy: No pets allowed.

Location

Fly into Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN), located about 50 miles from your residence. Several major airlines service this airport via hubs, but note that some routes operate seasonally. Please note that some routes operate seasonally.

We recommend a rental car for the beautiful drive from the airport—which should take approximately one hour—as well as for exploring the Big Sky area. We recommend renting a car through Club partner Avis. Inspirato members receive exclusive benefits through the invitation-only Avis President’s Club.

Lots to Love

The house easily accommodates large numbers of people. The kitchen is fantastic and cooking materials were clean and fit for use. There are gorgeous views from the house, and we found the ski in, ski out option to be very easy. Our eight-year-old also managed it easily. Hillary, the Property Manager, was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The cleaning crew came daily and were very efficient. The only difficulty was that the Internet came in and out, and it didn’t seem to like when multiple people were trying to use it. Also, we paid the fee to have access to the clubhouse, and it wasn’t worth the cost.

All season fun

Went with our family and 3 others, 9 total, for a summer getaway. Plenty of room for 9 and more. Finishes absolutely top end. Forever views. Fifteen minutes into town and only five to a nice village at the base of the slopes. Yellowstone trip was to die for. Concierge Karen crushed it. The home is obviously mint as a ski in, ski out venue but it was great in the summer too.

We loved Big Sky and Obsidian was the perfect home

We absolutely loved our trip to Big Sky and Obsidian was perfect for our family of 13. It’s right next door to the Cascade Ridge Lodge, and for a small daily fee you have an indoor/outdoor pool for swimming in any weather, a game room with billiards, shuffle bowling and a poker table, a library with game boards, a large room with lots of seating and a large fireplace, and finally a nice bar and great people. Obsidian has plenty of rooms and space for a large family and is beautiful. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare any kind of meal, along with the grill on the large deck, with perfect views of the sunset. Olivia helped us plan a wonderful itinerary for our trip, and Karen took great care of us when we got there. Outside of some internet connectivity issues in the home, which we easily survived, Obsidian is a must stay in Big Sky.

Gourmet Gals provided some delicious catered meals. We had a full day at Yellowstone National Park, starting with The Grizzly & Wolf Discover Center which is so much fun for little kids. We went to the Lone Mountain Ranch Rodeo, which is also a spectacular setting for seeing the beautiful Montana mountains. We attended the Big Sky town center farmer’s market, some of us did some fly fishing in the Gallatin River, others at a lake, and some great hiking. Finally the whole family enjoyed dinner at the Beartooth Pub at the Montage, which has very good food and many activities for the kids.

Something for everyone in Big Sky

Obsidian is a new, modern house that has enough room for the extended family (ages 3 - 72). The kitchen was beautiful and we took full advantage of it. It's pretty difficult if not impossible to ski in-ski out so we did not do, but the most adventurous may be able to make it work if the timing is right. The hot tub was amazing on day 1, but then didn't work for the remainder of the trip, which was a bummer. The fireplace also had some issues (gate door fell off, smoke did not vent properly). All in all, we'd consider returning if some of the kinks were fixed. And of course the skiing was fabulous in January.

Christmas week in Montana

This was our first Holiday trip with Inspirato in a cold climate, the previous 5 years we have used Inspirato for warm weather weeks. We had our 4 adult kids and two SO's.

Olivia did a great job with our itinerary, we hit the slopes a few days and had great snow. The home is truly right on a hill where there is a small lift. You can ski down from the home and get to the main village easily. Getting back is a little tricky, and there is one section that you'll have to walk up to get to the lift to get you on the way to the home. The home is next to a clubhouse for the development. We did not think it was worth the per/person/day, as we had 8 people and knew we'd not use it everyday.

The house was great, pretty much as advertised. In floor heating throughout with mulitple zones make it comfortable. The working fireplace was a nice added touch. Bathrooms are big, dual sinks in the masters.

The main complaint of the house was the wi-fi. We had two lawyers who were unable to use it for work, cell service was sufficient for that. The internet was bad enough that even with all other wi-fi devices off, we had a hard time streaming Netflix without buffering. Olivia got us a hotspot that may have helped some.

We went snowmobiling with Canyon Adventures, which was a blast, highly recommended.

Sprit of the North Dog sledding was another excursion, this was awesome as well, again, highly recommended.

If there in the winter, all wheel/4 wheel drive is necessary, we had it, and had no problems, but you should be used to driving in snow, without complete clearing of roads.

The ride into Big Sky is not too bad, we had some nice dinners there.
