Location

It's easy to reach the Dalmatian Coast. Fly into Split Airport (SPU) in Split, about a 50-minute drive away from your residence. You will most likely connect in a major European air hub, such as Frankfurt, Munich, or London. Note that many flights into Split operate seasonally.

To get to your residence from the airport—as well as to explore beaches, the nearby national park, villages and more—we recommend renting a car; Club partner Avis is a great option. Your Destination Concierge is happy to arrange private transportation, as well.

Need help booking flights? Our luxury airfare concierge can book your preferred seats and flight times at the best available price.

Fabulous House on the Dalmatian Coast!

Adriatica is a beautiful, immaculately-maintained property overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It included all the amenities we needed and more - full kitchen, indoor pool, sauna, laundry room, common area pool, and access to the community's private beach with loungers and umbrellas. It's a short walk/bike/scooter ride down the path into the center of town if you don't want to drive. Our concierge Hana was absolutely wonderful and is one of our two favorite concierges in the entire Inspirato portfolio! She provided exceptional recommendations for dining, sightseeing and much more. Inspirato must ensure they hold on to Hana! We will be back to Adriatica again soon!

Incredible experience

This trip was incredible! i rented three houses for two weeks. beautiful properties.

They are located in a resort (Golden Ray) near Primosten, in between Split and Sibenik. Primosten is a small, lovely medieval town, located on a peninsula. There is a wonderful walkway along the entire coast in the area. The houses are about 2 miles away from town - a fantastic walk. From the Inspirato houses, there are fascinating towns (i strongly recommed Trogir, Sibenik and Split) to explore, as well as vineyards, olive oil distributors and and other great experiences.

We were absolutely blown away by the friendliness of Croatians. Everyone speaks English. The food is amazing. The scenery is just gorgeous. Honesly, it reminds me of Italy of 35 years ago.

The key to all things good in Croatia is Hana, the concierge on site. She is beyond competant and knowledgeable. Honesly, she is one of the very best concierges i have ever had. Every restaurant she recommend was a wonderful experience. She arranged private tours (really great guides) for the cities, reservations for everything and was soooo on top of things. hana recommended a private boat cruise, which was a real highlight. All different sizes of boats are available.

We love Laurenta Olive Oil, Ante Sladic winery, and prgin winery.

While we rented a car (Croatia is easy to navigate), we also used the services of Jerry of Amadeus Taxi. He picked up us (and dropped us off) from the airport, took us to our rental car in Sibenik (and picked us up there when we were finished), and drove us to Trogir and Sibenik, because we did not want to deal with parking. He is so, so nice and very accommodating.

The resort is very well kept, and the concierge, restaurant, maintenance and housekeeping staff were exceptional

A few recommendations:

some of the stairs in the homes are not kid friendly.

bring a lot of cash. Restaurants take credit cards, but a lot of the excursions need cash payments.

bring swim shoes. The beaches of Croatia are pebbles, rocks and bigger rocks. Swim shoes are essential.

Read about the war that devastated the former Yugoslavia. This is a defining moment in Croatian history and very important to the people. it only ended 30 years ago.

use the beautiful infinity pool at the resort - spectacular sunsets are the norm.

While there are great restaurants in Primosten, there is no gift shopping of any note there. Save your shopping for Trogir, Split and Sibenik.

get a personal chef for at least one night. good experience.

Wait to order wine for your personal use in Croatia so you can get some direct from the vineyard. Supermarket wines were not great.

Have a blast!

Beautiful Views and Warm Hospitality

The Adriatica Villa on the Dalmatian Coast was a wonderful stay! The space was plentiful, with three bedrooms for two parents and four young adult kids ages 18-25. I think this home and location would work best with kids who do not need to be supervised closely due to the stairs in the house and the beach access outside being one where you jump in to swim, not zero-depth entry. The path to walk and be near the water and to Primosten was just outside our door. It was about 1-1.5 miles to walk to the town for dinners (depending on where you go) or to the sandy beach area, but it is a paved and lovely path. All of our dinners were delicious with gorgeous settings.

Bernarda is the local planner and concierge and is very helpful and insightful. She is a gem and was a great point of contact, and she remained flexible with our evolving schedule.

Things to know: Plan on having a driver unless you have a small group and can rent a small car. Parking in some areas appeared to be a challenge.

Bring Euros with you—lots of Euros. Cash is dominant, and we had to use cash for everything except our restaurant dinners, which accepted Visa.

The home-Water pressure and consistent hot water can be a problem, especially if more than one person is taking a shower at a time or in a row. With six people sometimes trying to get ready for dinner simultaneously, showers had to be quick and were not always warm.

The A/C in the bedrooms is great! The bedrooms stayed nice and cool and were even cooler if the bathroom and bedroom doors were closed.

The pool in this home is completely under a cover and indoors, and although it has doors that open to the outside, there is no view from there. Families with younger kids may enjoy that convenience, but for us, we wanted to be poolside and still have views. Therefore, we did not use the pool in the home and went to the community pool with gorgeous views and a poolside bar.

Views- The views from the bedrooms and main floor are fabulous. Unfortunately, you don't have those views if you sit outside. Shrubs are planted for what I assume are privacy, but they completely block your view once you are outside the home.

Weather: We were there at the end of June, and it was hot and humid, and it did get a little buggy at night. If you are planning any walking tours, keep the heat in mind. We live in a hot and humid summer climate, but this was different. It was always hot, even at night when dining outside. It isn't like some areas where the temps next to the sea/ocean drop in the evening-at least not the days we were there.

Feedback: The only thing I noticed the home did not have, and it would have been nice, was some items to use in the water, like a raft or the ability to rent a paddle board and have it there.
