Location

It's easy to reach the Dalmatian Coast. Fly into Split Airport (SPU) in Split, about a 50-minute drive away from your residence. You will most likely connect in a major European air hub, such as Frankfurt, Munich, or London. Note that many flights into Split operate seasonally.

To get to your residence from the airport—as well as to explore beaches, the nearby national park, villages and more—we recommend renting a car; Club partner Avis is a great option. Your Destination Concierge is happy to arrange private transportation, as well.

Incredible Croatia Experience

We traveled with a group of eight—five adults and three teenagers—and had a fabulous trip. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations.

If you're visiting Croatia in the summer, don't underestimate the heat! We're from Texas and used to the heat, but we also expect strong air conditioning. Who knew that most European homes / restaurants do not have air conditioning?! One of the things we appreciated most about this home was its incredible air conditioning. During the European heat wave, coming back to a cool house after was an absolute luxury.

Hana (local concierge) was amazing. She anticipated our needs and rearranged several of our excursions to early mornings so we could avoid the hottest part of the day. She also arranged for delicious meals to be brought to the house since many local restaurants don't have air conditioning.

Tip: bring lots of euros. Most of our tours, private transportation, and several dining experiences were paid in cash rather than by credit card.

After landing in Split, we took a Split and Trogir tour with our guide, Ana, who was knowledgeable, energetic, and so much fun. We also enjoyed a traditional Peka dinner with chicken and octopus, which was absolutely delicious. Even the kids loved octopus!

The biggest surprise—and the unanimous favorite of our entire trip—was dinner at Duska's quaint home. Good thing the menu was a surprise. If we looked at the menu beforehand, we wouldn't have chosen many of the dishes. But every course was incredible.

Hana also arranged transportation with Jerry, who quickly became part of the fun. He was friendly, accommodating, and took us wherever we wanted to go.

The location was perfect. Just a couple minute walk from the house, we could jump into the Adriatic Sea.

Between the beautiful home, Hana's exceptional hospitality, unforgettable experiences, and the stunning views, we had an amazing trip.

Croatia May 2026 Obala

This trip exceeded my expectations on all accounts! Where to begin... First, the accommodations were first class. The view to the Sea, having your own pool and sauna, access to the club amenities were notable. Beds were comfortable and the maid service was great. We love the location of the villa, only a 20 minute easy walk to the awesome little town of Primošten. What a great little town with many great places to eat, shop or get coffee. That was really unexpected. Being able to walk there was important because we did not have our own car. Hana was amazing, first by helping me set up this great vacation and all the day trips. All of her recommendations were excellent including the restaurants. And then she helped remind me of what the next day would bring along with the information on how to get there etc. She arranged a car service/taxi that worked so well. Jerry was our driver all week and that worked out great! The food in Croatia really surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to be so good but it really is on par with Italy... (we just came from Tuscany the week before so I think I can say that). Here are some activities that we did that I would recommend: Day trip to the island Hvar, have a Peka meal delivered the first night, Olive Oil tasting at Laurenta, day trip to Sibenik that must include Michelin star restaurant Pelegrini, Krka National Park a must see (take the boat in to the park), trip to Trogir, walking tour of Diocletian Palace in Split. Also take a day or so in your villa and consider a Private chef dinner. Another recommendation is to bring plenty of cash/Euros. Everyone likes cash here vs Italy where credit cards are ubiquitous.

In summary, Croatia was spectacular and there is no doubt that partly why I can say that is the wonderful experience we had at this Inspirato property. One more shout out to Hana, you are the best.

A Stunning Stay on the Dalmatian Coast

Our stay at Obala was truly unforgettable. The house is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views and a perfect location near the coast. It offered the ideal mix of comfort, style, and proximity to local attractions.

A special thanks to our hostess, Hana, who was warm, attentive, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay—she made everything smooth and stress-free.

One Tip: Be sure to carry cash. Some nearby restaurants and shops do not accept cards, and this did catch us off guard a few times.

All in all, an amazing experience at a gorgeous property. We will definitely return!

Villa Obala - Amazing Trip!

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Obala! This villa is 4 bedrooms and 4 bath and was perfect for our group of 8 adults. Our conciege, Hana, was simply phenomenal. She handled every single detail for us not only for our stay in Primosten, but also for our pre-stays in other locations in Croatia and post-stay in Dubrovnik. The villa was spectacular and literally has everything we needed. Air conditioning in the villa was great, something that is important when traveling in the summer. While this villa did not have a beach view, we hardly missed it as the beach was just a short walk away. And we enjoyed our time at the villa's pool. Hana assisted us with grocery delivery, booking restaurants, transportation, Beach Club day, Yacht day, private chef night, olive tasting, and a tour of Mostar on our way to Dubrovnik. She messaged me every single day to see how things were going and what we needed. I knew we were in good hands and our needs were addressed almost instantly! The area is gorgeous and the people are so nice. This trip was one of the best we have taken with Inspirato. Highly reccomend!

Tips:

- Bring lots of Euros as many of the activities required cash payment, as well as Euros needed for vendor gratuities

- We rented a car which was useful; but do know that transportation around Primosten is very reasonable at 10 Euros round trip. That's much easier than dealing with parking in Old Town.
