Spring Break in Hilton Head

We had a great time in Hilton Head and loved Oleander. The weather was great in early April. The concierge, Victoria, and the housekeeper, Luz, were lovely. I hesitated to book this house because it has no view, but it turned out to be one of our favorite trips. The house is so close to the beach path (but not right next to it) and the pool and hot tub are great. When we first arrived it seems that the backyard lacked a bit of privacy from the street and nearby homes, but we were out there quite a bit and it was fine. The house is in walking distance to tennis/pickleball, pro shops, a small general store, the Dunes Grill on the beach and Alexander’s restaurant. This house is much closer to the action than the other Inspirato homes in HH but still felt peaceful and quiet. The grill was good for lunch and Alexander’s was pretty good too, especially the shrimp and grits. We went to dinner in Sea Pines 3 nights. You need cash to get through the gate there and the restaurants take the charge off of the check. We liked Quarterdeck and there were some good shops over there at Harbor Town. Coast and Links were fine, nice setting. The boys liked One Hot Mama’s bbq. Our favorite restaurant was Sunset Grille, about a 25 minute drive from Oleander. Great food and views. It’s small, a bit casual and in an RV park, but some upscale dishes and a great wine list too. We rented bikes for part of the stay but didn’t end up using them because everything was close and we drove anywhere outside the gates. The pickleball clinic was a lot of fun. You can rent paddles. The tennis court reservations were easy and availability wasn’t an issue when we were there. Some good shops close across from the main entrance to Palmetto Dunes too.

Good location, great house, nice support

Some difficulty with Tv cable. Needed to have maintenance come to reboot most TV’s. Should leave detailed instructions to fix TV’s.

Location was perfect!

We had a great time with our large family staying at Oleander. The layout was perfect for multiple sets of parents and kids. The location being so close to the beach really worked out well with small children. The house has beach chairs and a beach wagon so we didn’t have the need to rent chairs. We got plenty of use out of the pool at the house. We brought our own pool floats and toys to enjoy. We dined at Ombra one night and it was very good. Chloe and Rhonda from Hilton Head Nannies watched our kids and they were a big hit. The traffic driving onto the island was a bit of surprise and we wished we would have taken a morning flight to avoid. We rented bikes to cruise around the neighborhood and to ride on the beach. We took a dolphin cruise but would make sure to request a boat with a sun cover next time. July sun was unbearable even on our 10AM cruise. We were able to see deer in the yard almost every night!

Perfect extended family location

The Oleander home is the perfect destination for a large family trip. The house is very well maintained and set up nicely for a big group. Palmetto Dunes is wonderful and has so many activities right down the street that you can walk or bike to including golf, tennis, pickleball, beach and more.

Gayle was amazing. Our trip was planned last minute and she immediately jumped into action planning every last detail in one day! She had an amazing dinner from Nibbles N Bites ready the evening we arrived, she planned activities, dinners out, a private chef and a family photography session.

We loved driving skiff boats to see dolphins, evening boat cruise, fireworks in shelter cove and so much more.

Each and every day she checked in on us to see how our trip was going and how she could help! It was an amazing Inspirato experience and we are so grateful!
