A New Caper
Grab the family and climb aboard a shaded boat to undeveloped Capers Island. Spend a few hours learning about the salt marsh and its many residents. You may see bottlenose dolphins, egrets, herons, crabs, oyster beds and more.

Start the day with a kayak trip at sunrise through the beautiful saltwater marsh. Paddling is easy, and you might see dolphins, pelicans, manatees and loggerhead sea turtles. Try kayak trips for an "island lunch" or fossil hunt as well.

Take a crabbing trip and learn how to harvest crabs from traps. Then make your way to Capers Island, where you'll learn to crab the "old-fashioned way" (hand line and net). Next comes an authentic crab boil on the beach and the freshest seafood around.
