Cancellation policy: Reservations canceled at least 48 hours prior to arrival are fully refundable. Reservations canceled within 48 hours are subject to a charge of one night's room and tax. All refunds will be issued in the form of Travel Credits.
Maximum occupancy: The maximum occupancy of this suite is three. The third guest is accommodated on a rollaway bed in the living area for an additional fee of 50 GBP per night.

Location

From Heathrow: The Heathrow Express is a nonstop train between the airport and central London that runs every 15 minutes. From Gatwick: The quickest train into central London from Gatwick is the Gatwick Express, which runs every 15 minutes from 5:20 a.m. to 12:50 a.m. (and hourly overnight).

Once in London, it's quite easy to get around. Taxis are always readily available, and the public transportation system is extensive. Private transportation is also an option and can be arranged by your concierge. Renting a car is discouraged due to the constant traffic and cost of parking. But if you so choose, club partner Avis is the perfect place to start. And remember to drive on the left side of the road. As always, your concierge is happy to arrange transportation to activities.

London Visit

Buckingham Gate is a perfect location for any visit to London. Located in the heart of Westminster, 2 blocks from the Tube, 2 blocks from the bus stop. The flats are very comfortable. The well equipped kitchen is a bonus. The Concierge team is superb. For first time visitors to London check with the team to hire a London Blue Badge Tour Guide through Ing Tours.

Absolutely flawless

We spent 8 nights in the Kings Suite One Bedroom at Taj 51 Buckingham Gate, and it was one of the best hotel stays we've ever had. The concierges were extremely helpful over email leading up to the trip, including helping us organize a weekend in the country after we checked out. When we checked in, we were impressed that everyone knew our names, from the moment we walked in the door (linked to our car service from the airport, perhaps?). The suite itself is very comfortable and beautifully appointed. It has 3 distinct rooms: bedroom, living room, and eat-in kitchen. This worked very well, as one of us needed to work US hours occasionally, and could sit at the table in the kitchen, with easy access to the coffee maker, without disturbing anyone else's rest. At first I wished that we were staying in a slightly more exciting area, like Soho, but I would not have traded the comfort and service, and I came to appreciate how quiet the little cluster of townhouses was compared to Soho. I would love to go back, and to visit more Taj properties.

This is our second stay at the Taj and the location makes it walkable to just about every iconic and historic London destination. Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abby, Big Ben, the Themes River, and museums are all within a fifteen minute stroll. The Tube station is also a five minute walk making all of London accessible. The Taj staff is extremely helpful and the service is first rate. If your considering a London trip, this property will make for a comfortable stay.
