Viceroy Cabo

the Viceroy is great resort to stay in Cabo San Lucas, souroundedmy water on the pathways. The hotel provides excellent service throughout the property. The staff are friendly and are willing to go the extra mile to make your vacation fabulous. You have to do a treatment at the spa as you then have access to the amazing amenities of the spa, cold water plunge, dry saunas steam room, hot jucuzzi, indoor pool and heated seats in relaxation area. The staff were amazing in the spa and they assisted you throughout the circuit and my massages were so relaxing, the highlight during our trip is that they had a 1 star Michelin chef as guest for the week from Koli in Monterrey Mexico at the rooftop restaurant that had an amazing 6 course tasting menu for $125, well worth it and all the courses of Mexico cuisine were amazing.

Hotel was nice, service was good. restaurants on site were excellent, especially the sushi place.

not your standard resort

The size of the pools is the first thing you notice. All the buildings are seemingly built in the gigantic pool and then there are even other pools built in the pools. The walk to the beach is over, under and around all the pools. if you like creative architecture, you will love this place.

Our Ocean View King Bed room was very spacious and the covered patio, where we spent a lot of time, was private and was large enough for a couch and table with chairs.

Service and food/drinks on the beach and pools was great throughout the resort. The rooftop restaurant was fun with live music and great views and food. We went there twice.

We used the bikes often and rented a car for the week as well. Valet parking was quick and free.

Nice, but not 5 stars

We stayed at the Viceroy for 3 nights with another couple for a quick getaway. The hotel and accommodations are nice, but there are better places to stay in Cabo. Service and food was more on par with a 4 star hotel vs 5. Next time, we'll return to the Palmilla or Las Ventanas for true 5 star service and accommodations.

Relaxing Week

My wife and I have been going to Cabo for a number of years and typically go at least twice a year. We have stayed in a number of Inspirato properties and they are all wonderful. Over the last couple of years we have found we enjoy San Jose better than downtown Cabo. it is more authentic and the food choices are wonderful. This year we decided to stay closer to San Jose and choose The Viceroy. From the moment we walked through the door we fell in love. The architecture design is stunning, the service is spot on and the food options are wonderful. A quick bike ride or taxi and you are in downtown San Jose with all of the art galleries' and restaurant options (Thursday night they close the streets off and it is art week). We were there over a holiday weekend and we felt like it was off season. The hotel only rents to about 85% capacity so it never feels crowded. They have residences on the property as well which cuts down on the party crowd. Highly recomend.
