Fabulous family retreat

We had a family vacation at in Mykonos recently.

Calliope was our homebase. A great place for 13 of us to gather and make memories. We worked with our concierge, Sandy who made sure everything was perfect. She set up a perfect day on a catamaran for all 13 of us. The captain was wonderful. He supplied all kinds of water sports for us to play with. They cooked us a magnificent lunch and we explored Delos. This made for a spectacular day.

Since we had our entire family together we hired a photographer for a photo-shoot. Also recommended by Sandy.

The younger people took kite-surfing lessons again recommended by Sandy. They loved this and want to continue.

This house is near 3 different beaches and easy to include some fantastic lunches.

The best part of the house was the kitchen for us. Our family enjoys cooking together. So for us we made cooking a central part of our vacation. All in the kitchen with music & dancing. The doors open with a fantastic view. Eating dinner on the wide open porch.

I hope you all enjoy the house and the personnel as much as we did.

Best Family Vacation!

Our family of 14 absolutely loved our trip to Mykonos! Calliope was perfect with the pool and breathtaking views of the sea. Sandy, our Destination Specialist, was phenomenal and truly made the week special by coordinating a day at Solymar, tour of Rizes farm and cooking class, scuba diving, in home massages, a tour of Delos, drinks at Scorpio. The last night we were entertained by local singers and dancers at the villa and everyone took to the dance floor including our grandchildren ages 2-10. Natalie, our local concierge, and the in house chefs were so accommodating to our grandchildren- they were so excited for breakfast each morning and "magic spoons" to eat their ice cream! Thank you!!!!

50th B Day Celebration....

This home is amazing! Located in a great location with breath taking views. It is a great home for larger groups and well laid out. Everything was great other than some very minor deferred maintenance like door handles coming off, etc. But very minor comparatively speaking. We definitely want to come back and enjoy the home and Mykonos in general.

Best Family Trip!!

We took 16 family members to Mykonos…as stressful as that sounds Amalia and team made it absolutely flawless . From the activities to the restaurants to the chef at home to the transportation it was a trip of a lifetime. For those that hesitate to bringing a large group abroad ..don’t! The house was great for this many people, we utilized every room. It was a quiet neighborhood as well. The only downfall to the house is you can’t flush toilet paper… they empty the trash cans multiple times a day.. but you can’t flush ANY! There was one day we were at a beach club on one side of the island and it was so windy that I looked around at my group and knew every one was miserable. I texted Amalia hoping she could help… and in 30 minutes she has the vans come get us and take us across the island to another beach club which has perfect weather. That is the level of service to expect!!!

Best Inspirato Trip so far!!!

Calliope - Mykonos Greece

16OCC 8 Bedrooms 8 Baths

2 Adults

9 Teenagers 19-21

Inspirato has done it again - the perfect European trip!!!

We arrived in Greece late Saturday afternoon. And were greeted by Sandy who took on both roles this week as planner and concierge. This home is stunning - overlooking the Aegean Sea - protected by the wind - and we basically lived outside on the patio the entire week. The adults took the main floor master and all the teenagers stayed downstairs for the week. There is a beach down the hill and a small resort which has an amazing cliff side bar - great drinks and food. They even have smoothies for breakfast in the morning.

There is a small peninsula that is great for hiking or a morning run but also a full gym in the house.

Here are our favorite things and helpful hints!

Chef - Have chef come in the first night and make you the traditional Greek Meat Menu #1 with gyros. They make a ton of food and you can eat off it for a few days!

Breakfast - We had the light pastries breakfast menu brought in a few times. The smoothies down at beach restaurant are great too.

Groceries - get you basics to get you by the first day. Also have them drop you off at the grocery store across from airport - it's easier to get what you want.

Kitchen - best equipped kitchen we've seen at Inspirato. We cooked hamburgers and hotdogs one night and had a great cookout. I always bring brownie mix, hamburger seasoning, salad dressing mix, etc to marinate meats and have easy desserts - and it makes it easier to cook!

Yacht - we went all out for a yacht for the day. Crew was amazing. We went out in a 54' boat - jet skis, sea bobs, snorkeling, music, went dove to cove, lunch brought on board - best day!

Paradise Beach Club - this was not the fancy beach clubs as we had the teenagers and wanted to be able to bring a football for the water, spikeball, and Sandy arranged for a 1 hour rental of the boat and the kids went tubing - on 3 different floats and had the time of their lives. Ironically, we had the best food of the week here on the beach. Highly suggest paying more for front row chairs - highly entertaining people watching. Lots of music - good vibes for the younger ones.

Bread Making - the older girls went and did this and said it was the most amazing experience. Incredible lunch paired with wines - and learned to make Greek breads - that we used for breakfast the rest of the week.

Car service - Because of our large group we had a huge expense with transportation (2 sprinters every time

we went somewhere)- $$$ It was what it was - but I know I would not have wanted to rent a car - streets are sooooo narrow and the cars go fast. I also was extremely appreciative of Sotiris and George - they were troopers and we arranged to have them take the boys every night around 10:30pm-4:30am each night. It was wonderful to have these men looking after the boys - making sure they got home safely each night. That in itself was priceless.

Clubbing - OK this one made me nervous at first! They went to Skandinavian Bar every single night - it had American music and younger crowd. Everyone did a great job being responsible and dipping their toe into being adults. They had a buddy system and were over the top responsible.

Nammos Village - High end shopping, not as many shops as I thought - but great people watching!

Mykonos downtown - shopping, mix of high end and tourist - good energy vibe.

Nautilus - we are there one night - owner personally took care of us - great food and great price.

Kazarma - nice restaurant on the water - moderate price.

Scorpios Beach Club - we actually went for a very late lunch the last night we were there. Beautiful club, hip vibe, we're were just too tired and needed to pack to stay out late.

VAT Tax - tip if you're going to buy a lot - split purchases between family members bc you can get up to $500 cash back in middle of town - we missed out on VAT bc we didn't do this during week and our connection was too tight in Athens.

Overall this was our best Inspirato trip to date. I highly recommend this home. It was $$$ but worth it. Inspirato TeamEast knocked it out of the park again!!!
