Location

1 Hotel Central Park is located in the heart of New York City, about a 45-minute drive from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and about an hourlong drive from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). From both airports, a taxi or private limo is recommended. Please note, a taxi will not take more than four people.

Traffic is constant and parking fees are expensive, so we recommend either taking a taxi, public transportation or reserving a private car while you're in the city.

LOVED IT!!!

1 Hotel is now my favorite hotel brand. This hotel was right in the middle of all the action that NYC offers. The food was amazing and fresh. The service and management was excellent. I arrived to the hotel early they got me checked in ahead of time. I love the lounge area in the lobby and the meeting room spaces on the 2nd floor. My bedroom - very spacious and relaxing. I've stayed in many hotels in NYC and this is my favorite! I will be back!

Nature in a Concrete Jungle

One block from Central Park and within walking distance of an incredible amount of high ending shopping, roof top bars and restaurants. Truly a perfect location for a NYC trip! The hotel is dripping in "nature"...woods and plants everywhere. Stunning rooms...we stayed here two separate times and will definitely choose here again when we come back. We can never run out of places to go and things to see. Staff incredibly friendly as well. We took advantage of their car service and saved us time and money by not having to call an Uber for our dinner reservations as well.

Nature within the city

A beautiful hotel, dripping with plants and “living walls” placed perfectly one block from Central Park. There are enough places to walk, eat, shop and drink... all within walking distance and without ordering a cab or uber! Loved everything about this place!

Great location and staff

Location, location, location. The hotel is one block south of Central Park, so everything is within easy walking distance. If you need a subway, the 57th St station is half a block away.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. If you need directions or a restaurant recommendation, they're happy to help. I was warmly greeted every time I came through the doors and most of the staff new me by name the second day of my stay.

Like most NYC hotels, the rooms are relatively small, but mine was very comfortable and well appointed. The bed and linens were very comfortable and I slept quite well. The shower is very large and has two showerheads, so you can opt for a rain shower or a hand-held wand.

The hotel's courtesy car is a Tesla model X and is available to take you anywhere within 15 city blocks of the hotel. NB: the Tesla is strictly first come, first served and cannot be reserved.

1Hotels is a new chain started by the folks formerly behind Starwood. The hotel is dedicated to reducing consumption and lessening the impact on the planet. You won't find plastic water bottles here, but they provide glasses and triple-filtered water.
