Location

Inspirato SoHo at The Dominick is located approximately 40 minutes from any of the three major New York airports: LaGuardia (LGA), John F. Kennedy (JFK), or Newark (EWR). Travelers from East Coast cities such as Boston, Providence, New Haven, or the Washington D.C. areas can also travel by train to Penn Station, which is only two miles from the hotel. We do not recommend driving in New York; the city’s extensive public transportation system and abundance of taxis make getting around without a car easy. Even better, your hotel is located in the heart of Lower Manhattan with endless restaurants, shops, galleries, and activities within walking distance, and an easy cab or subway ride to world-famous New York locales Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, Wall Street, and the One World Trade Center.

Mediocre Quality

The Dominick is in a very good location with access to the Hudson and its offerings, as well as to SOHO, Tribeca, the West Village and Greenwich Village. The view from the room towards uptown and Brooklyn was very nice. However, the furnishings were of lower quality and function. There was no door between the bedroom and the bathroom, the motorized shades were broken, there was a stain on the rug, the furniture was old and chipped, a side table drawer was broken and there were no modern plugs for electronic devices. The lobby leaves a lot to be desired and the pool and adjacent "restaurant" felt like they should be part of a different type of property. The elevators were often very slow to arrive. I have stayed in many properties around NY, including private clubs, for decades and this falls in the lower quarter of the quality list. This did not meet our expectations as part of the Inspirato collection and we believe Inspirato needs to do closer site inspections.

Dominick 4th trip

Our daughter moved to NYC and so we are going there more often. We have stayed at the Dominick several times. The last time we were with 5 other couples. The hotel is great, very nice rooms and amenities. The service is outstanding from the door men, to front desk, to cleaning service and all others we encountered. They always asked if we needed anything to make our trip more pleasant. The guest services promptly brought water, coffee and ice. We have had lesser service at the Four Seasons!

Very friendly staff and rooms with great views, higher end amenities and comfortable beds. We'll be back!
