Location

Inspirato SoHo at The Dominick is located approximately 40 minutes from any of the three major New York airports: LaGuardia (LGA), John F. Kennedy (JFK), or Newark (EWR). Travelers from East Coast cities such as Boston, Providence, New Haven, or the Washington D.C. areas can also travel by train to Penn Station, which is only two miles from the hotel. We do not recommend driving in New York; the city’s extensive public transportation system and abundance of taxis make getting around without a car easy. Even better, your hotel is located in the heart of Lower Manhattan with endless restaurants, shops, galleries, and activities within walking distance, and an easy cab or subway ride to world-famous New York locales Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, Wall Street, and the One World Trade Center.

Fantastic spot to see NYC

The rooms were beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great - one block from the subway and easy for cabs to find as well. Across the street from Starbucks, Trader Joes and CVS if you need anything.

Good deal for a great location

I took my 8 year old daughter for spring break and it was perfect for us. The location at the edge of Soho was great. Just steps from Dominique Ansel bakery and so many great shops and restaurants. Everything we did was below central park so the location worked well for us on this trip - Statue of Liberty, broadway shows and some stuff at Union Square. Starbucks, Trader Joes, CVS and The Color Room (good for kids and instagrammers) were all directly across the street. The room itself was very nice and spacious for two people. The water pressure was good, hot water was fast most of the time and the hair dryer was a top quality unit that actually dried my hair quickly. It's the little things on vacation. We had a south facing room on the 32 floor and the view was amazing. The deal you get through inspirato makes this an easy choice if you're looking to stay in this part of Manhattan.

Great location but a few problems

This is a very nice hotel but with a few problems that other guests mentioned. The toilet in our room ran constantly and I had to continually fix it myself. The elevators had issues that the staff knew about but nothing was done to correct these deficiencies. This made it difficult to get up and downstairs as we were on the 36th floor. We also received some bad information from the concierge. The best thing about the location is it’s proximity to 2 subway stations that made getting around easy. Taxis and Uber are a waste of time due to the congested traffic. Would I stay there again, I would probably try another hotel.

weekend in paradise

The Dominick location is perfect. we were in an amazing shopping district, tons of fabulous restaurants and best of all this trip was the quality of the room and the entire staff.

When we exited our car from the airport we were treated like VIP.

Great property and we will be back.

hotel in disrepair/ elevator broke

This is my second stay at the Dominick. I love the location of the hotel. However, this stay was not great. The toilet ran the entire stay and despite calling the front desk it was never repaired. But the final straw was getting stuck in the elevator for 15 minutes. A bellman was in the elevator with us and called down to the front but nothing was done. He said this has been repeatedly happening and management is doing nothing to fix it. I had to call 911. The fire department immediately came and pried us out. Our room was on the 35 floor so there is no way to avoid the elevator. I would be very cautious about returning to this hotel until something is done to fix the problem.
