Location

Castle Hot Springs is a desert oasis and a destination in and of itself. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is 54 miles from Castle Hot Springs. Downtown Phoenix is 51 miles away, while Scottsdale is 57 miles away. For a longer trek, it’s 110 miles to Sedona.

To ensure that your arrival experience meets your needs and preferences, there are three different options for getting to the resort. Castle Hot Springs offers a private car service to and from the airport to your resort via private transportation—contact your Care team to learn more about updated rates. If you choose to rent a car, we recommend renting a car through Club partner Avis and choosing a high-clearance SUV for navigating the 7-mile dirt road leading to the resort. Lastly, you can take a helicopter transfer from Scottsdale Airport and take in the scenic views of Valley of the Sun and Sonoran Desert on the 25-minute flight.

Fantastic Experience

I don't normally write reviews but had such a fantastic experience at Castle Hot Springs that it's worth noting. The staff at Castle Hot Springs is great on every level. Activities are amazing and you can be as active or relaxed as you would like. Springs are amazing for soaking and drinking. The food is so good and consistent at every meal. You will return home refreshed and recharged and want to return.

Castle Hot Springs is just incredible

If you are looking for a unique getaway that includes a variety of physical/luxury activities as well as unbelievable food, Castle Hot Springs is the place. We stayed in the Spring Bungalow and it was clean, quaint and everything you needed. In addition to the great accommodations, you will find the most professional and personable staff I have ever experienced at a resort. They take the time to get to know you and what you like and don't like and cater to your needs perfectly. Also, if you are a foodie, this is the place for you. Every night they serve a 5 course meal that rivals any I have every had. They also have a great wine list and 2 very capable Sommeliers in Sarah and Mary. Back the activities. We enjoy being active so we took full advantage of the activities offered. In addition to the excellent guided hikes, we went horseback riding with Cowboy Mike and his dog Mooch, Mountain biking with Jack, Message with Eric, Mixology class with Gavin and Anthony, Yoga daily with Colleen and Mike, Farm tour with Ian and took a hike that included crossing a canyon on a suspended bridge over 100 ft above the surface. There is all of that and you soak in the hot spring a couple of times a day. The springs are awesome and include 3 different temperatures depending on the elevation. The highest is the hottest at around 110-120 degrees. While we went in that spring a few times, you can spend more time in the middle spring as it is around 100 degrees.

For those wondering what to bring, you will need good hiking shoes and comfortable hiking clothes. It is very resort casual even at dinner. I would recommend looking at their list of activities and dress accordingly. (e.g. Yoga).

Lastly, if this is your first trip to CHS, I would recommend no less than 5 days if you want to take full advantage of the resort. This place is one of a kind and we will plan to return soon.
