Incredible 60th Birthday Celebration

Please see full review under Las Maravillas.

We had 5 villas which were beautiful. I loved that each villa had its own pool, the building had a pool and the resort as a whole also had a pool. I stayed in Las Maravillas which was the oceanfront penthouse. Amazing views. Las Brisas is also a penthouse, but further from the beach but also with an amazing view. They are on the top floor of what I believe is a 5 story building. Both of these are a good choice if views are important. We also had people stay in Villa Piedras, Casa Emilia and Casa Tierra. They are all next to each other on the main floor. There is less of a view, but the access to the building's pool is phenomenal. First you have your villa's pool, then you walk outside your gate and you are at the building's pool. You can run in and grab food and drinks, go to the bathroom, etc. The pools were heated to my kind of temperature, nice and warm. I don't like cold water, and the temperature was ideal. (FYI, Las Brisas is in this same building) Another advantage to these units is they are close to the little store and if you like to order specialty coffees, like lattes and cappuccinos, I believe they are available there even though we never did. I believe the gym is also right next to these units.

5 star family vacation

We spent one week for spring break at Las Brisas with our family of 6. Everything was perfect. The condo was spacious and perfectly laid out for us. We spent everyday at the main pool. There were plenty of seats and combination of sun and shade. Citlalhi, our Concierge, was incredible! She made dinner and transportation arrangements for us every day. She was immediately responsive for anything we needed. Olivia, our housekeeper, made amazing breakfast for us every morning. Her chilaquiles were among the best we’ve ever had. Olivia made sure everything was clean and beautiful each day. We loved the restaurants we chose: Tuna Blanco, Casa Traditionale, Casa Theresa, Naef we loved so much we went twice, and had a private chef two nights. We also took a great Catamaran trip with Seaside Pacific Yatch Group on the boat named: Goa, a 42’ Lagoon Catamaran. The captain and mates were great! The boat is beautiful and food and drinks were great. Citlalhi also arranged golf two days for us. The course was nice and we had a time. This was our second visit to Los Verneros. We will return again!

A Hidden Gem

So far, we've stayed at Los Veneros three times, twice at Villa Piedras and this time at Las Brisas.

First, Dorians, our on-site concierge, was second to none. Everything was taken care of for us by him. And Isabel, our housekeeper/cook was truly amazing, easily the best cook we've had. Our favorite breakfasts were the chilequiles and the enchiladas.

The location vs price is what makes this a hidden gem. Los Veneros itself does not have a lot of amenities: a little cafe on the beach, a workout room, and plenty of pools. We've never been here when we've had to worry about getting a cabana by the beach-side pool. Where else can you just walk out your back door and head straight to the beach for some surfing or wading?

We do recommend renting a surf board if you're into that. Dorians set that up for us this time. He had it there when we got there and then it was picked up when we left. The surf in January was a little more calm, and the water was colder than when we were there in October, but we still were able to fit some surfing in.

As for the difference between the villas, Villa Piedras is a ground floor villa that has a gate out to the path to the beach, whereas with Las Brisas, you have to take an elevator or stairs and walk around. Also, the sun shines right on the west-facing patios for Las Brisas; there really isn't enough shade. We moved our one umbrella up to the top floor where the outdoor table was so that we could enjoy the deck in the afternoon, but we had to huddle together under the one bit of shade, because it was HOT in the direct sun! Finally, Las Brisas has four bedrooms, which is nice if you need all four rooms, but two of the rooms have detached bathrooms, including the one on the main floor, so that's a little weird for the people staying in those rooms.

We really appreciated all of Inspirato's advice about meals; we didn't have a single bad meal while we were there. Highly recommended: Venazu, Spice Market, and Rubra, all at the W right next door, were all excellent in their own ways. We also ate at Margaritas on the Hills, Tuna Blanca, and Casa Milpa in or close to Punta de Mita. Seriously, check these out! For lunches, we either stayed with food we had stocked or we ate at the little cafes on the beach in front of Los Veneros and the W.

Thanks to Inspirato for such a good time!

amazing view and people

Las Brisas has amazing views from the living room and pool. Isrrael was very helpful and Olivia was a joy to have in the home. The in-room massages and lunch were highlights. We also ventured to La Comer in Bucerias- highly recommend if you need groceries. We love Los Veneros and will be back!

Las Brisas Punta de Mita, Mexico

This trip and all that came with it far exceeded our expectations. From my first interaction with Allison to then working with our onsite concierge Eduardo, the Inspirato team went above and beyond. We loved our accommodations, specifically the plunge pool and the daily breakfasts were amazing. I highly recommend going to Margaritas on the Hill and the snorkeling trip. I would have liked to have spent more time in the quaint little town of Punta de Mita- so I guess we need to go back. I felt safe walking the beach everyday and it was nice to use the spa at the W resort. Overall, this was a phenomenal family vacation and I was so impressed with the team that helped organize this trip. The drivers were amazing as well. If we go back, I would consider a car rental now that we know the lay of the land. Guadalupe, our housekeeper and chef, was absolutely lovely. Thank you to the Inspirato team for an unforgettable experience.
