The closest major airport to San Miguel de Allende is Querétaro Airport (QRO), 51 miles away. Del Bajío International Airport (BJX) is another option, 60 miles away. Querétaro Airport (QRO) is another option, which is about 48-55 miles away, depending on which route you take.

Wonderful trip, great weather, exciting city

Our third trip to San Miguel was outstanding. Weather was perfect, city was welcoming and exciting during the celebration of the Dia De Los Muertos.

One of the best Concierge's we have had for our trips. Rigaberto is a wonderful person to work with and extremely committed to ensuring the trip and the residence is perfect. Morning breakfast by Angelica (Angie), recommended by Rigaberto is a great option when you have a larger group. (We had 6 in the residence). Home was clean and accommodated all of us comfortably. Home was in an outstanding location, 10 minutes walk to the Juarez Park and the Rosewood, and 10 minutes to the Jardin and churches.

One suggestion. If you are making your first trip to San Miguel,wear comfortable walking shoes as the streets are cobblestone in most places you will walk. Sidewalks are flat stone but narrow. Also, the Lilia home is on a fairly steep incline so getting to the house may be slightly challenging so take it slow. If you or guests are mobility challenged, discuss with Rigaberto your options when you leave the house and return.

Expected More

We concur with the most recent review from Valerie. The home was located in a nice part of town, but it lacked many elements that we would have expected from an Inspirato property. Weeds were in the planters (3 foot tall weeds), the hot tub was not clean when we arrived, the bedroom on the main floor had a broken heater AND a broken fireplace. These were not fixed when we were there and we had an older person staying in that room who was cold every evening. The appliances weren't very sophisticated and were hard to operate and the refrigerator had dents in it from constantly hitting the countertop. The outdoor spaces weren't well furnished and the home's layout forced you to walk outside in the cold at night to move from space to space. Screws were drilled into the bathroom tiles to hold up shower caddies and they didn't even sit straight; it felt like a college dormitory bathroom set-up. Other bathroom fixtures weren't of high quality, either. Our concierge was very helpful and kind, but we can't recommend this property and wouldn't stay there again.

Great location but house was not what we expected

We loved San Miguel de Allende. There was great food, fun central square with lots of events happening, vibrant and friendly. The house was located to all of this with easy (with some hills) walking. The house itself was a bit run down, had no ventilation in the kitchen/family room area, had limited decor and oddly layed out. You have to go outside to get to any of the bedrooms and the family room. The concierge and housekeeping were terrific and helped us find great places to eat, shop and walk. I would return to SMA but would not stay here.

Great location, very spacious house

Went to San Miguel on a trip with friends. The location of Casa Lila is very close to restaurants, shops and local tourist stops. Very important, San Miguel streets are covered with cobblestones and the streets are steep, take comfortable shoes for walking. Super friendly staff, Diego our concierge was super helpful. We had breakfast in the house one day, highly recommend it, it was delicious.

Definitely sign up for the taco and tequila tour!

We enjoyed our time in San Miquel de Allende.The accomodations were a little used. Needed paint touch up, used towels, whole in the sheets...
