Location

You'll fly into Gustaf III Airport (also known as Saint Barthélemy Airport) on St. Barts. You can connect via St. Maarten (SXM), which is the most convenient, though connecting through San Juan (SJU) will also work. US Airways, Delta, Continental, American Airlines and United all offer direct flights from the U.S. to St. Maarten. From there, you'll have a 10-minute shuttle flight. There are many options for direct flights to San Juan, though your shuttle flight from there will stop in St. Maarten first.

While your hotel includes round-trip airport transportation, you'll likely want to rent a car to explore the vast high-end shopping and dining options, as well as venture to gorgeous secluded beaches. You're unlikely to drive longer than 20 minutes to anywhere on the island.

Wonderful resort. Magical loaction.

We stayed in Villa 2 (there are 3 total). All are nearly identical, but Villa 2 is closer to the main road, so there is some road noise. Just be aware. It's also situated the highest on property, so good views. It's listed as 3 bedrooms, but there is a master suite in the main building, along with another media room with a sleeper couch and en suite bathroom. The other 2 main rooms are unattached to the main villa and pool. They are very nice rooms. There is a music system which plays music in the main areas and the pool.

The staff is the best part of the stay. So is the food. very old school intimacy and charm. Located on the Grand Cul-de-Sac, it's quiet and nice to kayak, swim, kite surf, etc. It is located next to Le Guanihani and Le Barthelemy (both nice spots). Up the road is Le Toiny and Hotel Christopher. A ten minute drive to Nikki Beach, Eden Rock, etc., it's a bit off the center of town, but that's appealing. Cabs are easy to get. Keep one's card for the trip.

Frank the front desk manager is great, as is Chef Alex and Donaltello at the restaurant. Very personal service.

Enjoy this fabulous spot.
