From the resort, everywhere you’ll need to go will be accessible by foot, from the beach to the island’s gorgeous natural fixtures and hiking trails. We don’t think you’ll need a car during your stay, as you savor a simpler pace on island time.

Getting to the British Virgin Islands requires careful planning; typical routes involve traveling through San Juan, Puerto Rico, as well as St. Thomas, Antigua, Tortola, or St. Maarten in the British Virgin Islands. Upon arrival in Virgin Gorda, Virgin Gorda Airport (VIJ) is just one mile from the resort.

Fantastic time at Rosewood Little Dix Bay

My wife and I recently stayed 7 days at the Rosewood Little Dix Bay resort in Virgin Gorda to celebrate our 35th Wedding Anniversary. This is one of the most beautiful places in the Caribbean. The accommodations, service, food, amenities, activities, landscaping and everything was just perfect. On our way to Virgin Gorda, our flight was delayed getting into St. Thomas and we missed the connecting flight to Tortola and the boat ride to the resort. We contacted the resort and they had a taxi driver waiting to pick us up at the airport. He drive us to Red Hook where a private charter took us to Tortola and assisted us through customs/immigration and then on to the resort. When we arrived after a long day of travel, we were greeted with a bottle of champagne in our suite. Our butlers Reddy and Clement took exceptional care of us from arrival to departure. Several days we rented Mokes (a small jeep) to explore the Island. We visited Spanish Town, Spring Bay, the Baths, Copper mine point as well as the North end of the Island. This was a great way to see more of Virgin Gorda. We highly recommend the Beach drop picnics. The food was excellent. On site, the rum bar and the the sugar mill restaurant were our favorites. All the restaurants are near the water and are picturesque and comfortable with excellent service and food. It was difficult snorkeling this time of year due to the Atlantic swells but we found a good protected place on Long Bay during one of the Beach drops. In Spanish Town we recommend having a drink and dinner at Coco Maya and watching the sunset. The drinks, food and atmosphere were amazing. If you're at the baths, Mad Dog restaurant had very good Pina Coladas and chicken wings. On the north end of the Island at the top of the mountain is Hog Heaven BBQ. A great place for a drink and food with a phenomenal view of the BVI. We had a great breakfast each morning on our patio overlooking the beautiful waters of the bay. The service on the beach was excellent where John and Tiffany provided us with drinks and snacks. It was difficult to leave but look forward to returning someday to this little bit of paradise. We highly recommend Rosewood Little Dix Bay.
