If you want a quieter, less crowded experience, go in the shoulder season from March to mid-May; the days are still warm and the nights are cooler—perfect after a long day of exploring. If you’re looking for a more bustling, energetic vacation, go during their peak tourist season, summer and harvest season, from August through October.
